EPE and TDHVL solar-driven activities in India featured in Re:action magazine
Stratis Batzelis of EPE and TDHVL was featured in the Summer 2025 edition of Re:action magazine, the University of Southampton’s termly publication dedicated to research, enterprise, and public policy. This particular issue spotlighted the university’s expanding presence in India, aligning with the upcoming launch of its new campus in Gurugram, scheduled for August 2025.
In his feature, Stratis shared insights into his pioneering work on leveraging solar energy to improve access in remote and underserved communities across India and other developing regions. He discussed his RAEng SOL-DEV research fellowship, his role in the EU-India RE-EMPOWERED consortium, and his collaboration with Oorja through an Impact Acceleration Account programme, which focuses on digitalising solar-powered irrigation systems.
